A Step At A Time Whether you have experienced the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, or the death of a beloved pet, all these events create a feeling of loss, sadness, grief. We cannot deny that our loss, in whatever form it takes, has changed our life. Often we feel we are alone and others don't understand what we are going through.
Everyone's experience is different and very personal. Each will mourn in their own way; some people seem to 'get over' their loss quickly, while others seem to never 'get over it'. Each instance leaves friends and family wondering if those who get over it quickly are just denying their emotions and if those who can't seem to get over it are so grief stricken that they cannot see anything else but their loss.
Grief is the label we attach to our sense of loss; yet in reality, grief is a multitude of emotions wrapped tightlytogether into a single thought. Grief encompasses the pain, guilt, regret, heartache, bitterness, sorrow, and loss we experience.
